Plena Education

Plena Education is an integrated private higher education platform dedicated to the creative industries. The Group brings together seven institutions across Milan, Rome, Brescia, Padua, Bologna, Palermo and Syracuse, offering programmes in art, design, fashion, music, linguistic studies, culinary arts and hospitality.

With over 4,500 Italian and international students, Plena offers a broad academic portfolio spanning bachelor’s and master’s degrees, postgraduate programmes and short courses. The Group combines the distinctive identity and academic heritage of each school with shared capabilities in international recruitment, industry relations, student services and central functions.

Since KYIP’s investment, Plena has evolved from a collection of independent academies into an integrated national platform, expanding its academic offering, opening new campuses and strengthening its international reach through English-language programmes, double degrees and partnerships with leading universities worldwide.

"Plena Education is a unique platform in the Italian landscape: integrated, diversified and growing — capable of bringing Italian creative excellence to an international audience."

Value creation

We apply our Core-Digital-Culture framework as a proprietary transformation method — working simultaneously across three interconnected dimensions to turn strategy into execution and generate durable competitive advantage.

01

CORE

KYIP has supported the creation of an integrated education platform by strengthening central management, harmonising key processes and expanding both academic and geographic reach. New campuses, international programmes and targeted acquisitions have broadened the Group’s offering, while centralised sales, marketing and support functions have increased operating leverage and enabled schools to benefit from shared capabilities and scale.

02

DIGITAL

The digital agenda has focused on creating a more integrated and data-driven student acquisition journey. A unified CRM platform now enables schools to share recruitment and enrolment data, monitor channel performance and allocate marketing resources more effectively, while digital tools support an increasingly coordinated approach to student acquisition and engagement across the Group.

03

CULTURE

Plena has developed a shared identity around responsible education, student wellbeing and the value of creative talent. Through its Sustainable Academy strategy, the Group is progressively embedding sustainability into academic programmes, campus management and the student experience, while preserving the distinctive identities of its individual schools. A stronger people and governance framework supports this evolution through employee and student wellbeing initiatives, structured ESG governance, management incentives linked to sustainability objectives and a common Code of Conduct for students, faculty and staff.
